• Vendor Application - 2026 Feral Folk Winter Market

Feral Folk is a collaboration between Kentucky Heartwood and Among the Oaks Herb Farm. Our vision with this market is to elevate land-based crafters and connect our communities to their work, as well as introduce folks to KY Heartwood.
  • Thanks for your interest in vending at the 2026 Feral Folk Winter Market!

    Date: Sunday, November 29th

    Time: 11 AM - 4 PM

    Location: Greyline Station, Lexington, KY

    Vendor Fee: $60

Space: 9' x 9' footprint, indoors (must bring your own tables, etc)

The success of this market is in part based on vendors being highly curated. Please do not take it personally if you are not selected! It is likely not due to the quality of your work, but rather that it does not fit our very specific theme or it overlaps too much with another vendor. We are selecting vendors based on the following criteria:

    • Items for sale are both handmade and made with either a
majority natural materials or inspired by a connection to
      land/nature
    • Item parts/ingredients are thoughtfully and ethically
sourced, supporting local producers when possible
    • The following items are not accepted: items made with artificial fragrance, items made with mostly plastic, reselling rocks/crystals that you did not find yourself,
items made with mostly imported crystals (for example, priority is given to jewelry makers who use some locally procured materials)
    • General brand presence and booth aesthetic fits our market theme:
      nature, handmade, funky, whimsical
    • Priority is given to makers based in Eastern Kentucky, then Kentucky as whole, then Appalachian regions of surrounding states
    • We are especially interested in makers whose work is based in culturally important craft and/or craft that is based in land stewardship, i.e. crafts that utilize natural materials that you grow or wildcraft (weaving, dyeing, preserved foods, woodwork, leatherwork, etc)
    • While we do value a well thought out booth setup and a certain degree of professionalism, we are not prioritizing makers who are well established. We care more about the craft itself being of high quality than the experience you have as an established business.

This market has limited space and we are not able to accept everyone who applies. Beyond the selection criteria listed above, we also prioritize selecting makers who have been supportive of the market's overall success, including returning vendors and those who have helped with organizing, marketing and advertising the event.

To apply, please fill out the following form. Applications close on Friday, Sept
18 at midnight! If you have any questions, please contact the Event
    Coordinator, Sarah Barney, at kyferalfolk@protonmail.com
