ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be current Southern California residents. The BABC Scholarship Foundation is dedicated to supporting and empowering young women as they pursue higher education and build their futures. For 2026, the Foundation will award ten (10) scholarships of $2,000 each to deserving young women who demonstrate educational commitment, financial need, resilience, leadership, community involvement, and a desire to create a positive future.

In one essay, please share important experiences, challenges, accomplishments, or circumstances that have influenced who you are today; what you learned from those experiences; your educational and career goals; what motivates you to pursue higher education; and how you hope to use your education and future success to positively impact your family, community, or future generations. You may also discuss leadership, service, work, family responsibilities, or other experiences that have helped prepare you for your future.

SECTION 7 - SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT COMMITMENT
If selected as a BABC Scholarship Foundation recipient, scholars may be invited to participate in BABC workshops, mentorship opportunities, community events, professional development programs, and the annual Scholarship Gala.
If selected, are you willing to remain engaged with BABC and participate in recipient programming when reasonably available?

SECTION 8 - MEDIA AUTHORIZATION
If selected as a scholarship recipient, BABC may recognize your accomplishment through its website, social media, events, newsletters, sponsor communications, and other Foundation materials.
If selected, do you authorize the BABC Scholarship Foundation to use your name, photograph, school, college, intended major, and scholarship-related story for Foundation communications and promotional purposes?
A separate media release may be requested from selected recipients and, when applicable, their parent or legal guardian.
