Urban Edge Engineering is a growing structural engineering firm looking for a Structural Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to join our team. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and grow alongside the company. As our team expands, there is an opportunity for the right person to develop into a senior engineering role.
The Role
You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects from design through completed drawings, while working with a senior engineer. You should be proficient in the following tasks:
- Structural analysis and FE modeling
- Wood, steel, and concrete design
- Structural connection design
- Preparing and managing complete structural drawing sets
- Coordinating with other consultants and team members
- Taking ownership of the quality of your work
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of structural engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
- Experience with CAD software
- Knowledge of Canadian building codes and design standards
- Someone who is motivated, takes initiative, and is seeking growth in their career
