Andy Evans Tutor Training Scholarship

In memory of Andy Evans, one of our long-standing Trustees and Head Teacher at Great Oaks School, who sadly passed away, we are honoured to offer a Tutor Training Scholarship in his name. Through this scholarship, we hope to recognise Andy’s contribution to Signalong and his commitment to supporting communication and inclusion.
The scholarship is for one free place on our November Tutor Training course taking place on the 10th - 13th November 2026. Please submit your application by the 30th September 2026. Any applications submitted after this date will not be reviewed. The successful applicant will be contacted by us by the 9th October 2026 . Please note, if you have not heard from us by this date, your application has not been successful.

Terms and Conditions

· The scholarship is available only for the Tutor Training course taking place from 10–13 November 2026, delivered online via Zoom.

· The scholarship covers the cost of one Tutor Training place, valued at £1,475. The scholarship has no cash alternative and cannot be exchanged for a monetary value.

· Applicants should have experience of using sign-supported communication within a learning disability or autism environment.

· Applicants are preferably expected to have completed a Signalong Foundation Course. However, we recognise that this may not always be possible. Applicants must be familiar with how Signalong vocabulary is presented and have sufficient experience of using sign-supported communication to benefit from the Tutor Training course.

· The scholarship place is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for an alternative course or date.
