Petition of Support for Increased Sponsorship of Bernie's Glass by the Gateway BID
Petition of Community Support

We, the undersigned businesses, residents, customers, and supporters of the Gateway community, respectfully encourage the Gateway Business Improvement District (Gateway BID) to increase its sponsorship and support of Bernie's Glass.

For 72 years, Bernie's Glass has been a trusted local business, providing reliable glass repair, replacement, and installation services while contributing to the strength and character of our neighborhood. Beyond the quality of its work, Bernie's Glass has built lasting relationships with local businesses and residents through dependable service, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the community.

Founded in 1954 and serving as the longest standing local business, Bernie's Glass represents the kind of neighborhood investment that helps our commercial district thrive; as well as providing employment opportunities and trade skills to the youth. Increased sponsorship from the Gateway BID would:

-Maintain BGM in order to convert it into a minority, workers co-op and honor the legacy award that was given to Bernie’s Glass by the Gateway BID.

-Strengthen a locally owned business that has consistently served our community.
-Help preserve the diversity and vitality of our neighborhood's business district.
-Encourage residents and visitors to support established local businesses.
-Demonstrate the Gateway BID's commitment to businesses that actively contribute to the area's economic growth and community well-being.

We believe that Bernie's Glass is a deserving recipient of increased promotional opportunities, marketing support, community event participation, and other sponsorship initiatives offered by the Gateway BID.

By signing this petition, we respectfully ask the Gateway BID to recognize the positive impact Bernie's Glass has made and to provide the business with more frequent sponsorship opportunities and greater visibility in Gateway BID programs and events.
