    LIFE*SPIN’s Christmas Sponsorship Program serves children and youth, 18 years of age and under, to receive assistance during the Christmas season. This program is critical for young children affected by income loss, leaving their parents struggling to meet basic needs such as food and shelter. Thank you for making Christmas a bit brighter for the children in our community.

    How does the sponsorship program work?

    LIFE*SPIN matches sponsors with low-income families based on the number of children requested. Using the wishlist made by the family receiving assistance, sponsors help disadvantaged families celebrate Christmas. 

    Step 1: Sign Up as a Sponsor by completing this form.

    If you have any age preferences or special requests, please let us know in the comment section of the registration page. 

    Step 2: Keep an eye on your email!

    Starting in mid-October, we will email you a PDF containing the first names and wish lists of the children you will be sponsoring. Starting in November, if you do not receive an email within 1 week of signing up, please check your spam folder before contacting us.

    Step 3: Start Shopping!

    We hope to provide one age-appropriate gift to each child, valued up to $50 per child. Additionally, we recommend providing a $50 grocery gift card for each family you sponsor.

    Step 4: Bag & Label Your Donations

    Once you register, you will be provided with information on how to package your Christmas gifts. We ask that sponsors do not wrap the gifts provided to families. You can provide wrapping paper or gift bags.

    Step 5: Drop Off Your Donations

    Donations need to be dropped off at LIFE*SPIN's office located at 866a Dundas Street, London, Ontario. LIFE*SPIN is open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for donation drop-off, Monday to Friday.

    Here are some important dates to keep in mind:

    • Monday, November 2 - Sponsors can start dropping off donations
    • Tuesday, November 17 - LIFE*SPIN will be open until 6 PM to drop off donations
    • Saturday, November 21 - LIFE*SPIN office will be open from 9 AM to 12 PM to drop off donations
    • Monday, November 23 to Friday, December 4 - Pause on accepting donations as we process everything received from our Lights and Sirens Toy Drive
    • Monday, December 7 - LIFE*SPIN will be accepting sponsor donations again, and we will be open until 7 PM to drop off donations
    • Saturday, December 12 - This is the last day for sponsors to drop off their donations. LIFE*SPIN will be open from 10 AM - 5 PM. 

    Charitable Tax Receipts

    If you would like to receive a Charitable Tax Receipt for the value of your purchases, please retain all your original receipts and submit them to LIFE*SPIN by December 31st. For auditing purposes, we can only accept original receipts, except for some gift card receipts. Please contact the LIFE*SPIN office if you have questions. You can mail them to us at P.O. Box 2801, London, ON N6A 4H4 or drop them off at the office.

    Families receiving support are not provided with any information about their sponsor. Donors who request that their name not be publicly released shall remain anonymous.

  • Donation Details

  • We recommend spending up to $50 per child on gifts and $50 per family on food by purchasing a grocery gift card.

    Once you are matched with a family, we will send you the children's first names and up to three things they would like to receive from Santa.

    We do not expect sponsors to purchase the whole wishlist. 

    The aim of the wishlist is to allow you to get to know the children's interests.

  • Family Request

    If you are looking to sponsor multiple families, please let us know the total number of children you would like to sponsor. In the comment section below, please tell us the number of families, if you have a preference. 

  • We aim to match families with one family that has the number of children you would like to support. When we are unable to match sponsors with a family that has the requested number of children, there are two options.

    1. Wait until a family with the requested number of children registers. 
    2. Be matched with multiple families.
      For example, you request three children. We match you with two families, one with two children and another with one child.
