    Please answer the following questions about the horse you are nominating. Use one form per nominated horse.
  • Announcing the inaugural 
    Equine-Assisted Learning Horse of the Year™ Award to be announced at the
    2026 International EAL Summit™!

    Nomination Guidelines:

    1. One nomination can be submitted per horse
    2. Multiple horses can be nominated from a Center/Facility
    3. Nominated horses must be currently living and actively serving in their EAL roles
    4. All nominees will be recognized at the Summit
    5. Organization/Center/Facility with Award Winning Horse must have a human representative at the 2026 EAL Summit to accept Award
    6. The winning horse's Organization/Center/Facility will receive a $1,500 Award to be used exclusively for the winning horse's care
    7. Nominations will be accepted until October 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. eastern time

    To help you prepare for this nomination process, please gather information about the nominated horse including physical descriptors, history, why the horse deserves to be recognized, the type of EAL program(s) the horse contributes to, and a photo of the horse.
