About Conversational Japanese Classes

This class does not have a required textbook. All class content and materials are generated through student participation for open and free discussion.

This class is currently offered online only.

Participation Expectations for Conversational Japanese

Because the Conversational Japanese class is primarily conversation-based and does not use a textbook, active participation from all students is essential to creating a productive learning environment. We ask that students come prepared to fully engage in each session, with cameras on and ready to participate in discussions and activities.

Class sizes are intentionally kept smaller to allow for meaningful conversation practice. For this reason, we ask that students enrolling in this course are committed to attending regularly and actively participating so that everyone in the class can benefit from the experience.
