EOF State Investments Funder Strategy Exchange Session I: Supporting State Government Transitions

This fall, 39 governors’ seats and every state and territory legislature will be up for election, ushering in new leadership across the country. At the same time, states will be grappling with the full implementation of HR1—including its impact on vulnerable communities and already-strained state budgets.
This first session of EOF’s State Investments Funder Strategy Exchange will be a post-election virtual exchange, bringing EOF members together to share their evolving thinking on state policy and advocacy investments, consider the implications of state government transitions, and identify opportunities for aligned work.
Who Should Participate
EOF members from a qualifying philanthropy investing in state-level policy, advocacy, and grassroots engagement related to the safety net, work supports, and revenue.

What to Expect
- This will be a highly participatory, 90-minute session centered on peer learning, candid conversation, and collective strategizing rather than presentations.
- Participants will complete a brief pre-session survey about their strategies and investments to help inform the discussion.
- To promote frank and open conversation, sessions will not be recorded.
