To serve as an IGNITE Gathering Prayer Counselor, an individual must meet the following two criteria:

1. Demonstrated Faithfulness -- The individual must have a proven record of faithful involvement & commitment in their local church.

2. Pastoral Approval -- The individual must receive the endorsement of their Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, Elder or other recognized church leader, affirming that they possess the spiritual maturity and Christlike character necessary to serve as a prayer counselor.

It is the responsibility of Forge to ensure that every prayer counselor is properly equipped, trained, and supported for this role. Many of these volunteers will have the privilege of leading someone to Christ for the very first time. Therefore, we must be diligent in preparing them spiritually and practically so they can minister with biblical wisdom, confidence and compassion.
