  • The Downtown Farmers’ Market is heading indoors again for Fall 2026 & Winter and Spring 2027 -  and we’re looking for local vendors to join us!


    Located at Cityplace Winnipeg, 333 St. Mary Avenue, this popular market attracts a strong downtown audience and offers vendors an opportunity to showcase and sell their products in a lively indoor setting.

    We welcome vendors offering local produce, food, baking, preserves, meat, crafts, jewelry, handmade goods, and more.

    The market will feature weekly live music and a welcoming community atmosphere, along with 4 special holiday-themed markets near the winter holidays featuring special decor & activities, seasonal products, and a festive shopping atmophere

    The market will take place every second Thursday with five consecutive Thursdays leading up to the winter holidays.

    Vendors can register for individual markets or register for full Fall 2026 or Winter & Spring 2027 sessions at a special discounted rate. To receive the discounted rate, the full session must be paid for in advance.

    PLEASE NOTE: You must make, bake, or grow your product to be included in the market.

    Applications must be received 14 days before the market date, unless otherwise discussed. Vendor fees must be paid one week before each market and in full before arriving onsite.

    Fall (includes holiday markets)

    • FULL SESSION DISCOUNT: Register for all 8 markets and pay $40 a market, if paid up front before October 1st. (All 8 markets = $320)
    • INDIVIDUAL MARKETS = $45 

    Winter

    • FULL SESSION DISCOUNT: Register for any 8, 9 or all 10 markets and pay $40 a market, if paid up front before Januray 7th. (8 markets = $320 / 9 markets = $360 / All 10 markets = $400)
    • INDIVIDUAL MARKETS = $45

        

      *Please note that selecting all dates does not guarantee you will be invited to participate in all markets. We will email you if you haven been selected, and ask that you pay all market fees in advance.

  • If you are selling food of any kind you must read the Manitoba Health Farmers’ Market Guidelines found HERE

     

    • A Food Handler Certificate is required for anyone making and selling food items, whether they are prepackaged or not.
    • A Health Permit is required for anyone selling foods considered “potentially hazardous,” which must be prepared in an inspected kitchen rather than a home kitchen. See guidelines linked above.

  • VENDOR PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE FORM:

    One way that Cityplace Winnipeg and Fête Jockey Events (“the market producers”) and the Downtown Farmers’ Market (“the market”) supports vendors and their businesses is through marketing and communication mediums such as social media and printed promotional materials. We often take photos and videos of our vendors, their products, their booths, and the entire market. We occasionally hire a photographer and/or videographer to take professional photos as well.
    As a vendor at the market, I hereby grant permission to the market producers the rights of my image, in video or still, and of the likeness and sound of my voice as recorded on audio or video tape without payment or any other consideration. I understand that my images or images of my products and services may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed and waive the right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image or recording. I further grant the market producers the right to create derivative works of these images and recordings in any media now known or later developed as well as my name for promoting, publicizing, or explaining the market producers, the market, and their activities. I acknowledge that the market producers own all rights to the images and recordings. I acknowledge that I am over the age of 18 years.

  • LATENESS POLICY:

    If you are accepted to the Downtown Winnipeg Outdoor Farmers’ Market and arrive after 9:30 a.m. on your confirmed market date, you will be considered late and any future confirmed market dates could be cancelled.

     

  • CANCELLATION POLICY: 

    Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be considered a no-show.

    We understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen. Please contact the Market Coordinator as soon as possible if you are unable to attend, and we will consider the circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

    Vendors with more than two no-shows in a season may have their participation cancelled for the remainder of the season and may be ineligible for future markets.

  • TERMS OF AGREEMENT:

    I hereby apply to be a vendor at the Downtown Farmers’ Market (“the market”) produced by the Cityplace Winnipeg and Fête Jockey Events ("the market producers").

    I understand that space allocated by the market producers is based on the requirements I have submitted, and on the appropriate allocation of space to create a viable vendor market mix.

    I understand that the market producers will make every effort to accommodate my requests but cannot provide a guarantee.

    I understand that I am not guaranteed the same spot at every market.

    I understand that my participation in the market is entirely at my own risk. Neither the market producers nor any other party are responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items occurring before, during or after the market. In accordance with Manitoba laws this market does not tolerate aggressive behaviour, verbal abuse, or harassment towards staff, fellow vendors, customers, or visitors. Inappropriate action may result in being asked to leave, or contacting local authorities. The market producers hold the right to ask anyone upsetting the harmonious operation of the market to leave the premises or remove them from the market.

    I have read the Manitoba Health Farmers’ Market Guidelines found HERE. I agree to follow all regulations described therein.

    I understand that not all applicants are granted space at the market and that it is the right and responsibility of the market producers to decide allocation of space.

    I understand that I can be removed from the market if the market producers feel I am not abiding by the rules and expectations that are set for vendors in the market.

    By accepting this agreement, I declare the information on this form to be complete and accurate and I agree to pay the rates as set out in this document. I understand that methods of payment are online.

    I understand that market fee payments are non-refundable except in the case of a change or cancelation of the market by the market producers. I understand that if I am to miss market payments I will be removed from the market.

    I agree to comply with the Province of Manitoba’s current public health orders. I understand that restrictions can change at any time resulting in a change or cancelation of the market which could mean my participation may no longer be possible. I understand that the market producers have full ability to terminate my participation in the market if I fail to comply with public health orders put in place by the Province of Manitoba.

    I understand that I will need to provide my own booth set up such as table(s) and chair(s).
