  • Welcome to COACH Rockwall
    We're glad you're interested in joining the COACH Rockeall community! This application is for families interested in either our Full Program, which includes weekly Friday classes and activities, or Activities Only membership. As you complete the application, some questions and information will be tailored to the program you select.

    Membership Policy
    Eligibility and Admission of New Families
    Application Process: New families interested in joining COACH Rockwall must submit a complete application and payment along with all requested documentation. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

    Review and Decision: The COACH Rockwall team will review each application thoroughly and conduct reference checks. COACH Rockwall reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

    Background Checks
    Safety Measures: COACH requires background checks of both parents/guardians to ensure the safety and integrity of the community. This is a mandatory part of maintaining a secure educational environment.  The background checks shall be completed timely and are paid for by the applicants.

    Our Christian Position

    COACH is not associated with any particular denomination but instead holds what we call an “Overall Christian Position.” COACH holds to fundamentally conservative Christian faith theology, as reflected in Scripture, while leaving denominational differences to be determined in the home and the family’s church.

  • Which COACH program are you applying for?*

  • Full Program Membership
    Full Program is designed for families who want to participate fully in the COACH Rockwall community through weekly Friday classes as well as field trips, events, social gatherings, service opportunities, and other activities. COACH is a parent-led cooperative, so a parent remains on campus and serves throughout the co-op day by teaching, assisting, or helping in another assigned role. Our program works because families learn, serve, and build community together.

    Attendance and Participation Requirements:
    All students, teachers, and parents participating in the Full Program are required to maintain a minimum attendance rate of 85%. Consistent attendance is important for educational progress, classroom continuity, and our co-op community.

    Waitlist:
     If no Full Program openings are available at the time of application, families may be placed on a waitlist. Families on the Full Program waitlist may choose to participate through our Activities Only option while they wait for an opening.

     

  • Activities Only Membership
    Activities Only Membership is designed for families who want to be part of the COACH Rockwall community and participate in field trips, seasonal events, social gatherings, service opportunities, and other activities without attending our weekly Friday classes.

    COACH is a parent-led community, and our activities are made possible through the involvement of our families. Activities Only families are encouraged to participate not only by attending events, but also by sharing ideas and helping plan, organize, or assist with activities throughout the year. Working together allows us to offer more opportunities for our students and families to connect, build friendships, serve, and enjoy community together.

  • WAIVER & ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

  • Release of Liability, Waiver, and Assumption of Risk Agreement

  • This Release of Liability and Waiver (“Release”) is executed by the undersigned participant and/or parent/legal guardian (“Participant”) in favor of COACH Rockwall, a nonprofit organization operating under the laws of the State of Texas, its directors, officers, agents, representatives, volunteers, contractors, and vendors; and First United Methodist Church of Heath, its pastors, employees, members, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”).

    COACH Rockwall organizes and conducts educational, recreational, and social programs, including but not limited to weekly co-op classes, performances, clubs, field trips, service projects, and other related activities (“Activities”).

    1. Waiver and Release

    I, the undersigned, on behalf of myself and/or my minor child(ren), hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action of whatever kind or nature, in law or in equity, that may arise from my participation or my child(ren)’s participation in COACH Rockwall Activities, whether occurring on or off the premises of the Released Parties.

    This waiver extends to all claims of bodily injury, illness, death, or property damage arising out of or related to participation in COACH Rockwall Activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

    2. Insurance

    I understand and agree that COACH Rockwall and the Released Parties do not provide health, medical, disability, or accident insurance coverage for me or my child(ren). Each Participant is expected and encouraged to obtain their own medical or health insurance coverage.

    3. Medical Treatment

    I hereby consent to receive (or to allow my child(ren) to receive) emergency medical treatment deemed advisable during participation in Activities. I release and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim arising out of first aid, treatment, or service rendered in connection with participation in Activities.

    4. Assumption of Risk

    I understand and acknowledge that participation in Activities may involve risks, including but not limited to physical activity, sports, travel to and from Activities, interactions with animals, use of tools or equipment, and activities at private homes or public facilities. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks of personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from participation in such Activities.

    5. Indemnification

    I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to participation by myself or my child(ren) in Activities, whether caused by negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

    6. Governing Law and Severability

    This Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. I expressly agree that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by Texas law. If any portion of this Release is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

    7. Acknowledgment

    I have read and fully understand this Release. I voluntarily sign it and agree that it shall remain effective for the duration of my affiliation with COACH Rockwall, including all future Activities, events, and programs, whether on or off site.

     

    This waiver remains active as long as I am a member or affiliated with COACH Rockwall in any way.

    APPLICANT'S DECLARATION AUTHORIZATION AND RELEASE 
    My answers on this application I provide are complete and true. I understand that the submission of any false or incomplete information in connection with my application, whether on this or other documents or in interviews, will be cause for the rejection of my application at any time. I authorize the COACH Rockwall and its agents to verify any information related to my application. I also authorize and direct individuals, schools, employers, and law enforcement or government officials to freely provide any information concerning my background, and hereby release any and all of them from any liability for doing so.
