Support for Applications for Youth Ages 0–17 with ASD Diagnosis & Their Caregivers 0–17 歲已確診自閉症譜系障礙（ASD）兒童、青少年及家庭支援計劃

Program Overview
This support program is designed for families and caregivers of children and youth ages 0–17 who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We provide assistance with understanding and applying for relevant programs and services, including application support, information about eligibility and next steps, and referrals to community resources.

Priority is given to Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees; however, all families are welcome to inquire.

Support Options
Option 1: Ontario Autism Program (OAP) Application Support
We can help families understand and apply for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).

• For children and youth age 17 and under who are on the autism spectrum
  • A diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from a qualified professional is required
  • The child must be an Ontario resident
  • Eligible children can receive OAP services and supports until age 18
  • Support may include help with application forms, eligibility information, next steps, and referrals to related services

Option 2: Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Application Support
We can help individuals and families understand and apply for the Assistive Devices Program (ADP).

• ADP helps Ontario residents with long-term physical disabilities with the cost of customized assistive equipment
  • Equipment may include wheelchairs, hearing aids, communication devices, and other eligible devices
  • Applicants must be Ontario residents with valid OHIP coverage
  • Eligibility is not based on income
  • Support may include help with application forms, program information, next steps, and referrals to appropriate services

Most permanent residents of Canada are eligible to access settlement services, including:

(1) PR applicants who have received Approved in Principle (AIP)

  Clients are eligible only within 6 years after obtaining permanent resident status.

  Clients are eligible only within 5 years after obtaining permanent resident status.
