2026/27 Summer Comp - Senior Team Nomination

About This Form

This form is for managers of senior players wishing to nominate their team into the Springwood Scorchers 2026/27 Summer Domestic competition.

Completion of this form doesn't guarantee a place in the chosen competition, however it is a commitment to enter and play in the competition if space is offered. For this competition, teams are being accepted on a first come/first served basis.

Nominations are open to existing members for one week from Sunday 24th August.
Nominations are open to the wider community from Sunday 31st August.
Nominations close on Sunday, 20th September.

Finalised team lists, competition structures, and registration links will be released Sunday, 27th September. Note that this date could change and any changes will be communicated via email and Basketball Connect.

About The Competition

We are proposing the following competitions on the following days, with estimated time slots as follows:

Open Men: Thursday (5:45, 6:30, 7:15, 8:00, 8:45, 9:30pm)

Div 1: 7 teams
Div 2: 9 teams
Div 3: 7 teams
Div 4: 5 teams

Open Women: Monday (8:00, 8:45pm)

New! Open Mixed: Sunday (2:00, 2:45, 3:30, 4:15, 5:00pm)

You may self nominate your preferred division, however your team may be asked to move down or up depending on previous competition results and the players in your team. Open Women and Open Mixed competitions are not split into divisions, but making a choice for your team helps us with future planning.

There is an option to indicate your availability to play in 5:45pm games, we do our best to ensure teams who can't make the time due to work commitments aren't scheduled for that time.

Working With Children Checks

Each team must provide the details of a player with a valid working with children check (WWCC). These are verified with the NSW Office of the Guardian before the beginning of each competition and as needed throughout the year. WWCC are free for volunteers and can be obtained through Service NSW. This applies even if your team is only made up of adult players.

Teams are being accepted into the competition on a first-come, first-served basis. Incomplete team lists, or team lists with placeholders will not be accepted. Please ensure you complete all of the information required.
