  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Kindred Community Farm Sanctuary (formally registered as Society of Semiahmoo Animal League Inc. or SALI).

    We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us with our mission of providing a sacred space for our rescue animals and delivering healing programs to our communities that focus on the human and animal bond. Maybe that's you! 🐄🐴🐑🐐🐖🐓🦆🐇

  • Animal care volunteer application process
     

    Step 1: Fill out this volunteer application form.

    Step 2: Our Volunteer Operations Manager will review your application and email you to schedule a 15-minute virtual meeting on Google Meet to discuss your interest, the volunteer role, and expectations.

    Step 3: If there is mutual interest, you'll be invited to complete a volunteer shadow shift, where you'll be partnered with another volunteer who will introduce you to some of the animals and walk you through what a typical shift looks like.

    Step 4: If you're interested in becoming a dedicated volunteer after your shadow shift, our Volunteer Coordinator will complete a reference check. 

    Step 6: Once references are reviewed, our Volunteer Operations Manager will email you to invite you to become a dedicated volunteer and Kindred Farm member. Membership is $25/ year (or $45/ year for families). All Kindred Farm volunteers must become an annual member before their first shift is scheduled. 

    Step 7: Once your membership dues are paid, we'll schedule your first official shift as a dedicated volunteer at Kindred Farm!
