Please Read Before Submitting Your Application
By submitting this application, I understand and acknowledge the following:
Application Review
Submitting an application does not guarantee that I will receive a response, interview, or offer of employment. Applications will be reviewed based on the answers provided, availability, qualifications, and the current needs of the restaurant.
If selected to move forward, I may receive a response as soon as the same day.
I understand that I may be asked additional questions or asked to clarify or elaborate on answers provided in my application.
In-Person Interview & Skills Assessment
If selected, the next step will be an in-person interview and skills assessment lasting approximately 1–2 hours.
During this time:
- You will receive a tour of the restaurant and learn about the position and our expectations.
- We will explain the general flow of the restaurant and how we operate.
- You will observe one of our staffs performing their regular duties so you can better understand what the position involves.
- We will show you how to prepare one of our boba drinks, and you will have the opportunity to make one sample drink for yourself as a basic skills assessment (for server only).
- You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about the position, responsibilities, scheduling, training, and our restaurant.
- The interview and skills assessment are for observation and evaluation purposes only. You will not be expected to serve customers, prepare customer orders, clean, or perform regular employee duties during this time.
This also gives you the opportunity to determine whether you feel our restaurant and position are a good fit for you.
Starting Employment & Paid Training
If we mutually agree that the position is a good fit, we can proceed with employment.
Your first scheduled shifts will be paid training shifts, which will generally take place on Saturday and/or Sunday.
Training allows you to learn our procedures while working alongside an experienced employee. The length of training will depend on how quickly you learn the position and demonstrate the ability to perform the required responsibilities.
During initial training, you will receive a minimum guaranteed average of $13 per hour, including your hourly base wage and tips. If your applicable wages and tips do not reach the required guaranteed/legal minimum, the restaurant will make up the required difference.
Pay Increases
After successfully completing basic training, your minimum guaranteed average pay will increase to $15 per hour, including tips.
Once you demonstrate that you can independently handle the server position and its responsibilities without assistance, your minimum guaranteed average pay will increase to $16 per hour, including tips.
Because this is a tipped position, your actual earnings may be higher than the guaranteed rate depending on the tips you receive.
After you are able to work independently, additional increases may be considered approximately every 6–12 months based on performance, reliability, attendance, improvement, ability to accept feedback, teamwork, and overall contribution to the restaurant.
Raises are performance-based and are not automatic or guaranteed.
Cook/Kitchen Pay: $13/hour during training, increasing up to $18/hour once you can work independently. This is a non-tipped position.
Scheduling Requirements for Servers
At a minimum, this position requires availability every Wednesday for one of the following:
10:30am – 4:00pm, or
10:30am – Closing
Initial training will generally be scheduled on Saturday and/or Sunday.
After completing training, you will generally be scheduled 1–2 days per week, depending on your availability, performance, and the needs of the restaurant.
Scheduling Requirements for Cooks/Dishwashers
We offer flexible scheduling based on your availability and the needs of the restaurant.
We are currently especially interested in applicants who are available for evening shifts from approximately 5pm until closing.
Evening shifts may include:
- Cooking and assisting with food preparation
- Dishwashing throughout the shift
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen work areas
- Restocking and preparing items as needed
- Completing assigned closing duties
Full-day shifts may also be available and responsibilities may include:
- Preparing ingredients and completing prep work
- Cutting and preparing vegetables
- Cooking and assembling menu items
- Dishwashing
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- Restocking and organizing the kitchen
- Assisting with other kitchen duties as needed
This is a general kitchen position, so employees should be comfortable rotating between cooking, food prep, dishwashing, cleaning, and closing responsibilities rather than performing only one specific task.
Employment Expectations
We are looking for employees who are reliable, willing to learn, able to follow instructions, open to constructive feedback, and willing to correct and learn from their mistakes.
Training and employment may be discontinued if an employee is unable to meet the expectations of the position, repeatedly fails to follow instructions or restaurant policies, is unreliable, or is otherwise not a good fit for the position, subject to applicable law.
Likewise, you are free to let us know at any point if you feel that the position is not a good fit for you.
Employees will receive a free meal and drink during qualifying training shifts.
Final Acknowledgment

I understand that submitting this application or participating in an interview does not guarantee employment.
