Participants whose flight schedules fall outside of the designated group transportation times are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation to or from the retreat venue.
Retreat Is Not Therapy or Healthcare
While Wellness Counseling Inc. is a licensed mental health practice, participation in this retreat does not constitute therapy, psychotherapy, couples counseling, individual counseling, medical treatment, or healthcare services of any kind.
Participation in the retreat does not establish a therapist-client, clinician-client, or healthcare provider-patient relationship between Wellness Counseling Inc., retreat facilitators, and either participant.
The retreat is not intended to diagnose, treat, or address any physical or mental health condition and should not be considered a substitute for professional mental health or healthcare services.
If a participant experiences a mental, emotional, or physical condition requiring professional care, appropriate referral resources may be provided upon request when reasonably available.
Participant Privacy
Wellness Counseling Inc. strives to respect the privacy of all retreat participants and encourages participants to respect the privacy of others.
However, participants acknowledge that the legal and ethical confidentiality protections that apply within a formal therapist-client or healthcare relationship do not apply to participation in this retreat.
Participation does not establish a clinician-client relationship, and legal rules of healthcare confidentiality or privilege do not apply.
Participants are expected to respect the personal stories, relationship experiences, and other private information shared by fellow participants and not disclose another participant's private information outside of the retreat without permission.
Retreat Pricing
The total cost of the Wellness Counseling Inc. Couples Retreat is $7,997 USD per couple.

The retreat price includes the all-inclusive retreat experience described in this Agreement, including accommodations for the couple, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, designated group airport transportation, scheduled retreat programming, wellness activities, group tours and cultural excursions, and other experiences specifically identified by Wellness Counseling Inc. as included.
Some beverages may be included with certain meals, activities, excursions, or scheduled retreat experiences. Not all alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages are included.
All prices are stated in United States Dollars (USD) and reflect the international costs associated with accommodations, meals, programming, activities, transportation, vendor contracts, administrative expenses, and currency exchange considerations.
Payment Arrangements
Monthly payment plans are available.
Unless another payment arrangement has been discussed and approved by Wellness Counseling Inc., remaining balances may be divided across scheduled payments leading up to the final payment deadline. Specific payment plan details will be provided via email and/or invoice.
Payments may be automatically charged on the 1st of each month, as outlined in the couple's individual payment schedule, or may be paid upon receipt of invoice when that option is provided.
Alternative Payment Arrangements
Wellness Counseling Inc. understands that payment arrangements may vary. Alternative payment schedules or arrangements may be available when discussed in advance and expressly approved by Wellness Counseling Inc.
Any approved alternative payment arrangement will be communicated directly to the couple and may differ from the standard monthly payment schedule described in this Agreement.
An alternative payment arrangement is valid only when it has been discussed and approved by Wellness Counseling Inc.
Final Payment Deadline
Unless Wellness Counseling Inc. has expressly approved a different payment arrangement in advance, the entire retreat balance must be paid in full no later than January 1, 2027.
Participants whose balance has not been paid in full by January 1, 2027, or who fail to comply with an alternative payment arrangement expressly approved by Wellness Counseling Inc., may forfeit their reservation and amounts previously paid, subject to the cancellation and refund provisions of this Agreement.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Refund Eligibility Requirement
The percentage-based refund schedule below applies only if the couple's entire retreat balance has been paid in full at the time of cancellation.
Couples making payments under a standard monthly payment plan or another approved payment arrangement are not eligible for the percentage-based refunds described below unless the remaining retreat balance is first paid in full.
Once the balance has been paid in full, refund eligibility will be determined according to the date Wellness Counseling Inc. receives the couple's written cancellation request.
Refund Schedule for Paid-in-Full Registrations
If the couple has paid the total retreat cost in full, refunds are calculated as follows:
Cancellation 60 or more days before February 8, 2027: 50% refund of the retreat cost, subject to the limitations below.
Cancellation 30–59 days before February 8, 2027: 25% refund of the retreat cost, subject to the limitations below.
Cancellation 29 days or fewer before February 8, 2027: No refund.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Wellness Counseling Inc.
Limitations on Refund Amounts
Any refund otherwise available under this Agreement will not exceed the amount recoverable by Wellness Counseling Inc. after fixed, committed, prepaid, or non-refundable expenses associated with the couple's reservation have been deducted.
Such expenses may include, but are not limited to:
Accommodations
Meals
Venue costs
Vendor contracts
Group transportation
Excursion reservations
Facilitator expenses
Administrative expenses
International transaction or currency-related expenses
Cancellations While Making Payments
If a couple cancels while making payments under a monthly payment plan or another approved payment arrangement, the couple understands and agrees that:
The percentage-based refund schedule does not apply; and
Any right to a percentage-based refund is waived unless the couple first pays the remaining retreat balance in full.
If the couple elects to pay the remaining balance in full prior to cancellation, refund eligibility will then be determined based on the date of cancellation and the terms of this Agreement.
Cancellation or Material Changes by Wellness Counseling Inc.
If Wellness Counseling Inc. must cancel the entire Couples Retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a refund of amounts paid directly to Wellness Counseling Inc. for the retreat.
Wellness Counseling Inc. is not responsible for reimbursement of expenses paid directly to third parties, including but not limited to:
Airfare
Travel insurance
Passport or visa expenses
Transportation arranged independently
Lodging booked independently
Baggage fees
Lost wages
Childcare
Pet care
Other incidental or travel-related expenses
Wellness Counseling Inc. reserves the right to make reasonable changes to facilitators, activities, excursions, schedules, accommodations, meals, workshops, transportation arrangements, or other programming when circumstances outside its reasonable control require such changes.
Reasonable modifications to the retreat itinerary, activities, meals, transportation, facilitators, or programming do not constitute cancellation of the retreat and do not automatically entitle participants to a refund.
International Travel Requirements
The Couples Retreat will take place in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.
Each participant is solely responsible for ensuring that they possess all documentation required to enter Mexico and return to their country of residence, including a valid passport and any required visas, permits, or immigration documentation.
Wellness Counseling Inc. is not responsible for a participant's inability to attend because of passport issues, immigration requirements, denied entry, flight disruptions, travel advisories, border restrictions, or other travel-related circumstances.
Participants are responsible for reviewing current travel and entry requirements before departure.
Group Airport Transportation
Group airport transportation between the designated airport and retreat venue is included in the retreat package during designated arrival and departure windows.
Wellness Counseling Inc. will provide transportation instructions prior to the retreat, including the designated airport, pickup location, transportation schedule, and applicable arrival and departure windows.
Both participants are responsible for providing complete and accurate flight information by any deadline established by Wellness Counseling Inc.
If either participant:
Arrives or departs outside of the designated transportation window;
Changes a flight without providing adequate notice;
Misses the designated group transportation;
Chooses to arrive before the designated retreat arrival date;
Chooses to remain in Mexico after the designated retreat departure date; or
Otherwise requires transportation outside of the scheduled group arrangements,
the participants are responsible for arranging and paying for the necessary transportation.
Flight delays, cancellations, missed connections, or other travel disruptions may affect the availability of group transportation. Wellness Counseling Inc. will make reasonable efforts to assist participants when possible but cannot guarantee alternate transportation resulting from circumstances outside of its control.
Travel and Medical Insurance
Both members of the couple are required to obtain travel insurance and provide proof of coverage prior to attending the retreat.
Participants may purchase coverage from the insurance provider of their choice. Wellness Counseling Inc. does not require participants to purchase a policy from any specific insurance company.
Wellness Counseling Inc. recommends that participants consider travel insurance options available through TravelInsurance.com:
https://www.travelinsurance.com/?utm_source=pap&a_aid=674485368efa7
This recommendation is provided as a convenience only. Participants are free to obtain coverage through another insurance company or provider of their choice.
Medical Coverage Is Especially Important
Because this retreat takes place internationally in Mexico, the most important component of the required coverage is adequate medical insurance for both members of the couple while traveling outside of their home country.
Each participant is responsible for confirming that their selected policy provides appropriate medical coverage while in Mexico.
Participants should carefully review their policy and consider coverage for:
Emergency medical treatment while in Mexico
Hospitalization and other medical expenses incurred internationally
Emergency medical evacuation and transportation
Trip cancellation
Trip interruption
Flight delays or cancellations
Lost or delayed baggage
Other unexpected travel-related expenses
Participants should not assume that their existing U.S. health insurance or other domestic health coverage will provide adequate coverage while traveling internationally. Each participant is responsible for confirming the scope of their own insurance coverage.
Wellness Counseling Inc. does not sell, issue, administer, or guarantee travel or medical insurance. Coverage decisions, exclusions, limits, claims, reimbursements, and other insurance matters are solely between the participant and the insurance provider.
Failure to obtain the required travel and medical coverage may result in the participant being unable to attend the retreat and does not create an entitlement to a refund beyond the cancellation terms contained in this Agreement.
Meals, Beverages, and Dietary Needs
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included as part of the all-inclusive retreat experience.
Some beverages may be included with certain meals, activities, excursions, or other scheduled retreat experiences.
Beverage availability and inclusions may vary depending on the venue, meal, activity, excursion, or third-party provider.
Participants should not assume that all alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages are included in the retreat package.
Unless specifically identified as included, beverages purchased outside of those provided as part of a meal, activity, excursion, or scheduled retreat experience are the participants' responsibility.
Participants are responsible for informing Wellness Counseling Inc. of known food allergies, dietary restrictions, or other dietary needs by any deadline established prior to the retreat.
Wellness Counseling Inc. will make reasonable efforts to communicate dietary needs to the venue and applicable food-service providers but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or that every dietary preference or restriction can be accommodated.
Participants with severe or life-threatening food allergies are responsible for taking appropriate personal precautions and communicating their needs directly when necessary.
Accessibility
Participants acknowledge that the retreat venue and certain retreat activities are located outside of the United States and may not meet U.S. ADA standards.
Participants requiring accessibility accommodations are encouraged to contact Wellness Counseling Inc. before registering or as early as possible so that available options may be discussed.
Wellness Counseling Inc. cannot guarantee that all requested accommodations will be available through the venue, transportation providers, or third-party excursion providers.
Acceptance of Risk and Waiver of Liability
Each participant voluntarily consents to their participation in the Wellness Counseling Inc. Couples Retreat in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Participants understand that international travel and participation in retreat activities may involve inherent and unforeseen risks.
These risks may include those associated with transportation, excursions, swimming, walking, wellness activities, outdoor activities, physical activities, food and beverage consumption, environmental conditions, illness, accident, injury, property loss, transportation incidents, or death.
Each participant understands that it is their responsibility to determine whether they are physically and medically able to participate in retreat activities and to consult an appropriate healthcare professional prior to participation when necessary.
Participants agree to disclose relevant medical, mobility, dietary, allergy, or safety-related needs when such disclosure is reasonably necessary for safe participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each participant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Wellness Counseling Inc., its owners, employees, facilitators, contractors, volunteers, affiliates, and representatives from claims arising from their voluntary participation in the retreat, except to the extent caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Third-Party Vendors and Activities
Participants understand that accommodations, transportation providers, tour operators, excursion providers, restaurants, wellness providers, and other services may be operated by independent third parties.
Wellness Counseling Inc. does not control and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, policies, safety procedures, service disruptions, or financial arrangements of independent third-party providers.
Participation in optional or third-party activities may be subject to additional agreements, waivers, restrictions, safety requirements, or other conditions imposed by the applicable provider.
Participant Conduct and Exclusion From Participation
Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward their partner, other participants, facilitators, venue staff, local community members, and third-party providers.
Wellness Counseling Inc. reserves the right to restrict or terminate a participant's participation in some or all retreat activities if, in its reasonable judgment, the participant's behavior:
Threatens the health or safety of themselves or others;
Creates substantial disruption to the retreat;
Constitutes harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abuse, or threatening behavior;
Seriously interferes with another participant's ability to participate;
Violates venue or third-party provider rules;
Involves unlawful conduct; or
Involves concealment of information that materially affects the participant's ability to safely participate.
Removal or exclusion due to participant conduct does not entitle the participant or couple to a refund.
Couples Participation
Participants acknowledge that relationship-focused activities may involve communication, reflection, vulnerability, and discussion of personal relationship experiences.
Participants retain the ability to decline participation in a particular discussion or exercise, subject to reasonable limitations necessary for the safe and orderly operation of retreat activities.
Wellness Counseling Inc. does not promise or guarantee any particular personal, emotional, relational, or relationship outcome as a result of attending the retreat.
Participation in the Couples Retreat is not a substitute for couples therapy, individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, medical treatment, or other professional healthcare services.
Consent for Photography and Video
Each participant authorizes Wellness Counseling Inc. to photograph and/or record their participation in retreat activities for marketing, advertising, promotional, social media, and educational purposes.
Each participant may revoke their individual consent in writing for future photography, recording, or use by contacting Wellness Counseling Inc.
Revocation does not require Wellness Counseling Inc. to remove materials that were created, published, distributed, or used prior to receipt of the written revocation when removal is not reasonably practicable.
Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should notify Wellness Counseling Inc. in writing prior to the retreat.
Recording of Retreat Programming
Audio recording, video recording, screen recording, photography of proprietary materials, or unauthorized reproduction of retreat workshops, presentations, exercises, or materials by participants is prohibited unless Wellness Counseling Inc. provides express written authorization.
Solicitation Policy
Solicitation, sales activity, recruitment, or self-promotion during retreat programming is prohibited unless approved in advance by Wellness Counseling Inc.
Participants may naturally build personal or professional connections during the retreat, but organized promotion of services, products, programs, or businesses requires prior approval.
Intellectual Property and Restrictions
All retreat materials, presentations, exercises, handouts, written content, frameworks, recordings, branding, and other intellectual property provided as part of the retreat remain the property of Wellness Counseling Inc. and/or the applicable presenter or rights holder.
Participants may use materials for their own personal use consistent with any instructions provided.
Unauthorized recording, reproduction, redistribution, publication, resale, commercial use, or other misuse of retreat materials or content is prohibited.
Grievances
Concerns or grievances related to the retreat must be submitted in writing to:
admin@wellnesscounselinginc.com
Wellness Counseling Inc. will generally respond to written grievances within 5–10 business days.
