About the role | Mō te tūranga
We have a full-time role going to join the Able whānau in creating audio description (AD). AD helps make media accessible for over 100,000 Kiwis who are blind, deafblind or low-vision. As an audio describer, you'll work on content for New Zealand’s leading broadcasters by providing a spoken narration woven around a programme's audio, relating on-screen action, body language, facial expressions and scene locations.
This full-time (40 hours per week) role requires permanent shifts from Tuesday to Saturday.

- a strong, clear and articulate speaking voice
- an interest in TV, film, popular culture and current affairs
- respect and care for te ao Māori and te reo Māori, with existing knowledge and/or openness to learning.
An Arts degree or similar, creative-writing or voicing experience is preferable.
