    A poetry anthology

Womanhood is a collection of poems written by women, about women, from every corner of the world and every stage of life.

There is no prompt and no theme. Write about what it has meant to be a woman, or a mother, in the society you grew up in. Grief, joy, rage, cost, love, wanting, leaving, staying. Whatever is true for you.

Poems will be gathered into chapters by feeling rather than by author, so that a woman of twenty five in one country sits beside a woman of sixty seven in another and the reader can see both what changes and what never does.

Each poem will appear with only a country and an age beneath it. No names unless requested, no biographies, no credentials. Just the voice and where it came from.

What to know before you submit

One poem per person. There is no payment for contributors. All proceeds from sales of the anthology support The Weirdo Collective Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and the Naialu Institute of Motion Dynamics.

By submitting, you grant permission to publish your poem in this anthology in print and digital form. You keep the rights to your own work and may publish it elsewhere.
