Purpose of This Plan:

Our goal is not to fill the calendar. Our goal is to create meaningful ministry that makes disciples, builds community, serves others, and strengthens the mission of Union Temple.

As you develop your ministry plan, remember:

Impact over activity

Quality over quantity

Collaboration over competition

Transformation over attendance

Stewardship over consumption

As a general guideline, ministries should plan ONE signature ministry event and no more than FOUR strategic ministry initiatives during the year. Additional ministry engagement should happen through recurring ministry gatherings, collaborations, discipleship, and service opportunities. We also encourage ministries to make an impact on the Black W Street vision by establishing a tangible impact in 2027.

What to Have Ready Before Completing Your Ministry Plan:

Ministry leadership roster — officers/leaders, email addresses, and phone numbers

Regular Recurring ministry schedule — meetings, rehearsals, classes, etc., including day, time, location, and format

ONE primary ministry goal for 2027- this is your signature ministry event of the year

Proposed Strategic ministry initiatives — These are no more than FOUR events that the ministry will hold as a strategy toward meeting its goals for 2027. However, We recommend TWO strategic ministry events for optimal resource maximization. You will need description of events, target audience, location and preferred and alternate dates

Estimated budget/costs and anticipated funding sources, including fundraising goals if applicable

Black W Street Impact commitment — the church-wide initiative your ministry will support and your fundraising/service goal

Collaboration ideas — other UTBC ministries you could potentially partner with

Recruitment & retention plan — how you'll grow, engage, and develop your ministry

Marketing/outreach ideas — how you'll reach people beyond simply requesting a graphics

New Partner Engagement representative — who can represent your ministry at least four times during the year
