Gingerbread Christmas Contest Information
Think beyond the traditional gingerbread house! Create a gingerbread-themed structure, such as a house, building, barn, church, cabin, storefront, or another creative structure.

Whether you're building with your family or representing your business, we want to see your most creative Gingerbread Christmas creation!

ENTRY FEE

Family: $10           Business: $20

PRIZES:

Family Division- 1st Place- $250
Family Division - 2nd Place- $100
Business Division - $100 Charitable donation
People's Choice - Trophy, bragging rights, $50 gift card

Entries will be judged on creativity, craftsmanship, theme and overall presentation.

Registration Deadline: Monday, November 23rd

Completed House Due: Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026, at Parker County Building.

1. Participants need to be registered by completing the registration form and paying the entry fee.
2. All gingerbread houses must be placed on a sturdy cardboard or plywood base. The base should not exceed 18" wide x 18" deep x 24" tall.
3. The entry must represent a gingerbread-themed structure: house, building, barn, church, cabin, storefront or other creative structure.
4. It does not have to be made entirely from gingerbread.
5. Gingerbread should be the primary inspiration/material, or the entry should clearly depict a gingerbread structure.
6. Candy, icing, cookies, cereal, pretzels and other edible decorations are allowed. 
7. Non-edible decorations, such as paint, ribbon, and figurines, are allowed to be used on the base of the gingerbread house, but not on the house itself.
8. One entry per family.
9. One entry per business.
10. Multiple people may work together on a family or business entry.
11. Entries do not have to be edible.
12. Battery-operated lighting is permitted. Electrical outlets will not be permitted.
13. An interactive public vote will take place on the day of the festival for "People's Choice" winner.
14. Announcement of winner's will be announced at 2:30.
15. Be creative and have fun! Gingerbread house contests are a great way to show off your baking and decorating skills. 

Delivery & Set-up

1. Entries must be delivered Sat. Dec. 5 at 8:00 am, set up by 9:30 am and remain on display through the conclusion of Christmas on the Square (COTS) at 4:00 p.m.
2. Deliver to Parker County Attorney Office - 101 N. Main St. 
3. All entries must be ready and set up by 9:30 a.m.
4. All entries must be picked up by 4:00 or will be disposed of. 
5. Registration deadline: Monday, Nov. 23rd.
6. Limited display space available!
