• Free Spay/Neuter Clinic

    Tuesday September 22, 2026 and Wednesday September 23, 2026
  • Surgeries will be conducted by PETA in their mobile vet bus which will be located at 21 Matthews Street.

Drop off and pickup location: 21 Matthews Street, Galax.  No entry from Meadow Street during the clinic.

If your pet is confirmed for the clinic, you will be contacted by email in early September and assigned a surgery date (either September 22nd or 23rd). You will be given check-in and pick times at that time. We will also email you if your pet is not confirmed for the clinic.

Because this is a mobile spay/neuter clinic and not a full service hospital, not all pets can be accomodated. We will NOT be able to provide spay or neuter to the following animals:

       1. Animals older than 5 years or younger than 3 months of age.

       2. Animals weighing more than 60 lbs.

       3. Some large dogs, like Great Pyrenees, Great Danes, or German shepherds, may not fit in the kennels. However, if younger/smaller, they may be eligible.

       4. Dogs with short noses (including bulldogs, French bulldogs, pugs, etc.).

       5. Certain dog breeds that are prone to bleeding disorders, including Dobermans and Rottweilers.

    Thank you.
