The Transition Academy is seeking a Real World Learning Coordinator to lead and deliver classroom-based career readiness programming for high school students with disabilities (IEPs). This is a highly student-facing, 100% in-person position. The Coordinator will teach Real World Learning lessons directly to students, support students in developing career readiness and employment skills, coordinate hands-on learning and workplace experiences, and monitor student progress.
The Coordinator will also build strong relationships with students and families and conduct monthly in-person meetings with families, often in the family’s home or through individual meetings, to understand student needs, connect families to resources and supports, and help ensure each student is positioned for success.
The Coordinator will support and mentor instructors, oversee curriculum implementation and instructional materials, coordinate employer and community partnerships, maintain accurate student and program data, and complete required reporting and documentation.
