• Teaching Partner Course Proposal Form

  • We are seeking active Hillsborough Arts Council (HBAC) artist members who would enjoy sharing a skill, technique, artistic process, or craft with the community.

    The proposed program should include two connected classes:

    Part 1 – Community Introduction: A free introductory class, offered at the local public library whenever possible, where participants meet the artist, learn basic skills or techniques, and create or begin creating something of their own.
    Part 2 – Expanded Workshop: A fee-based workshop at another community location that builds directly on Part 1, allowing participants to explore more advanced techniques, creative choices, or a more developed project.
    Instructor Requirement: Instructors must be an active HBAC member before classes are scheduled.

    The goal is for Part 2 to feel like a natural next step from Part 1—not a separate class.

    Please submit as much complete information as possible when you first submit the form. The HBAC is meeting with the library shortly to review proposed program content and scheduling, so submitting a completed form as soon as possible will give your program the best opportunity to be considered for scheduling.

    If you have a membership please enter your member number that was provided at time of member application.

  • Intended Audience - Age/Group (Who is the class intended for? (The library is in need of adult art programs and we will be presenting proposals to them shortly, choosing an adult program will put your proposal in priority status since the library is in need of adult classes).
  • Is previous experience required (for the student) for the class series? (HBAC entertain the idea of mixed prior experience but no experience should get a larger group of prospective students to start).
