Our mission is to give the residents of Calaveras County a stronger voice in the decisions that directly affect our safety, and our future. We believe local government must be held accountable by the people, it serves.

1. Government Accountability: Insist on transparency, responsibility that creates measurable results, and require accountability from elected officials, county department heads, and government leaders.

2. Protect Local Resources: Evaluate County policies concerning homelessness and ensure local resources are managed responsibly and sustainably. Address concerns that neighboring jurisdictions may be relocating or directing homeless populations to Calaveras County rather than resolving their own challenges. We support policies that address homelessness, substance abuse, and the crime associated with addiction - Not simply managing or ignoring the problem, but fixing it.

3. Strengthen Public Safety: Advocate for a better focused Sheriff’s Office and provide the resources, staffing, tools, and appropriate authority necessary to effectively combat crime and protect our communities. Support effective law enforcement and provide the Sheriff’s Office with our support to make Calaveras a safe environment to live.

4. Protect and Strengthen Local Businesses: Create policies and promote resources that make it possible for locally owned small businesses to survive, grow, create jobs, and remain an essential part of Calaveras County. It’s a proven fact that small businesses are the backbone of our economy.

We believe Calaveras County is strongest when residents are informed, involved, and willing to hold their government accountable. Our goal is not simply to criticize government; Our goal is to demand better leadership, encourage responsible solutions, and help create a strong future for our community.
