• Save independent support for Ladywood residents

Ladywood Unite is calling on Birmingham City Council to follow its own rules after Council officers suspended the Chair of the Ladywood Local Housing Involvement Board without using the disciplinary process set out in the Board’s Constitution. The Board plays an important role in raising serious housing issues affecting tenants and leaseholders, including damp, mould, leaks, flooding and fire safety. People who speak up for residents must be able to do so without fear of unfair treatment. We are asking the Council to explain why the agreed process was not followed, restore proper due process, and ensure that its constitutions and procedures protecting independent resident involvement are respected.
