MN15 Solidarity Film Screening: Judas and the Black Messiah
Join the Minnesota 15 Anti-Repression Committee and the Red Pine Revolutionary Collective on Tuesday, September 15th from 6-9pm at New City Center (3104 16th Ave S) for a special screening of Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), an Oscar-winning film about the U.S. government's assassination of Chicago Black Panther Party chairman Fred Hampton. This screening will be accompanied by a brief discussion of the Minnesota 15 case, in which the federal government is seeking to politically prosecute 15 community members here in Minnesota for defending our neighbor's during last winter's federal occupation of the Twin Cities—continuing many of the same decades-long patterns of state repression against activists and social movements that are depicted in the film. Please RSVP so we know how many attendees to expect!
