Volunteer Liability Release & Agreement
I understand that volunteering at the Central Texas BBQ Roundup may involve activities throughout the event, including BBQ competition, animal adoption, car show, Kids Zone, vendors and food trucks, setup and teardown, and general event operations. These activities may involve risks associated with crowds, animals, vehicles, cooking equipment, heat and fire, lifting, tools, weather, and other normal event activities.
I voluntarily participate and assume the risks associated with my volunteer activities. I agree to follow CTBR safety rules and instructions and to immediately report any injury, unsafe condition, or concern to a CTBR team lead.
To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, I release and hold harmless Central Texas BBQ Roundup, its officers, volunteers, representatives, agents, sponsors, partners, and event venue from claims for injury, property damage, or loss arising from my volunteer participation, including claims resulting from the ordinary negligence of a released party, except where prohibited by law.
If an emergency occurs and I am unable to make or communicate a decision, I authorize CTBR representatives to contact emergency medical services on my behalf.
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this agreement, understand that it affects my legal rights, and voluntarily agree to its terms.
