  • This October, communities across the entire Ohio River Basin will come together for one final, coordinated push to close out ORSANCO's Ohio River cleanup season strong. From Pittsburgh to Cairo, volunteers at several sites will hit the riverbanks on the same morning — turning individual efforts into a single, basin-wide day of action.

Whatever role fits you best, there's a place for you in this effort:

    • Site Coordinator – Host a cleanup location in your community. Bring 5 people or 50! ORSANCO provides planning resources and handles registration, supplies, promotion, and a souvenir commemorative t-shirt for every volunteer. You bring your local knowledge and recruit your crew.
    • Volunteer – Join a cleanup site near you for the morning. No experience needed, just a love for the river.
    • Sponsor – Your support funds the staff coordination, supplies, and materials that make this event possible for hundreds of volunteers every year— and invest directly in protecting the water quality that 30 million people and 160+ fish species depend on.
    • General Inquiry – Have a question, an idea, or want to learn more before committing? Reach out here.

  • SITE COORDINATOR SIGN UP

Thank you for your interest in serving as a site coordinator! A site coordinator leads and organizes a cleanup with their own group, in their own community, as part of this greater basin-wide effort. The coordinator brings the volunteers and the local knowledge; ORSANCO supports with planning resources, registration, supplies, and promotion. You can learn more about site coordinator responsibilities here.

We have a handful of predetermined sites that you can sign up for, or if you have a site in mind or selected, you can enter it below.

This event is scheduled from 9 am-noon. ORSANCO will handle registration.

Once you sign up, our team will reach out with additional information, including planning resources and communication templates, and invite you to our planning meetings going forward.
