As software and payments continue to blend, ETA and TRANSACT are, for the fifth year, recognizing the Top Payments Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) that are making a meaningful impact in the payments and embedded finance ecosystem. This expanded recognition reflects the evolving ISV landscape, where software vendors increasingly integrate payments, financial services, and money movement capabilities into their platforms. Winners will be honored at ETA TRANSACT 2027, April 19-21 in Las Vegas.

- Criteria
  
  Candidates for this award are ISVs whose software solutions meaningfully impact the payments and financial services ecosystem. This includes ISVs that integrate payments, embedded finance, or financial technology into platforms—whether as a core function or a complementary capability—and demonstrate measurable impact in one or more of the following areas:
  - Enhanced User Experience: Intuitive, seamless payment flows; simplified financial operations for merchants or end users; accessibility features for underserved populations.
  - Security, Compliance & Trust: PCI DSS compliance assistance or simplification; fraud prevention and risk management innovations; regulatory technology solutions advancing compliance.
  - Operational Efficiency: Faster, more efficient payment processing; automation of financial workflows (AP/AR, reconciliation, reporting); seamless integration with back-office systems reducing manual effort.
  - Revenue & Growth: Increased revenue opportunities for merchant customers; customer retention and stickiness through financial features; new revenue streams through embedded financial services.
  - Industry Impact: Expansion of financial services to underserved segments; innovation in emerging payment methods (real-time, cross-border, crypto, card issuing); vertical-specific solutions transforming niche industries; scalable infrastructure enabling other fintechs or ISVs.
- Eligibility
  
  Start-ups or organizations in business for at least one year, who have not previously won this award, are welcome to apply. ETA membership is not required for this award. Qualifying applicants must be an Integrated Software Vendor that can clearly demonstrate how they enhance payments or provide embedded financial services to other third-party businesses through technology, including but not limited to:
  - Integrated payments within software platforms
  - Payment Facilitation (PayFac) or PayFac-as-a-Service
  - Card issuing and card management solutions
  - Disbursements, payouts, and money movement
  - Cross-border and international payment solutions
  - Real-time payments (RTP, FedNow) integrations
  - Embedded lending, BNPL, or financing solutions
  - Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and infrastructure providers
  - Financial automation for SMBs (AP/AR, reconciliation, payroll)
  - Vertical-specific fintech solutions (healthcare, real estate, logistics, etc.)
- Award Inclusions
  Those companies chosen as Top Payments ISV Award Winners will receive the following as part of their recognition and must be present to participate:
  - Announced in ETA and TRANSACT marketing communications and highlighted on the TRANSACT website.
  At TRANSACT, winners receive:
  - Award recognition live during the ISV Village Reception on Monday, April 19th, 2027.
  - Ample room to meet in the ISV Village with potential partners and customers during show hours.
- ISV Village sponsored by MAPP Advisors for the 5th Consecutive Year.
- - A ~10 min multi-media demo session during the program on April 20th or 21st, 2027 to showcase their solution.
  - One comp'd show pass, with one additional person from the winning organization getting a discounted pass rate of $995.
