• Washington St Reconstruction Project Community Survey

Community feedback on the Washington St reconstruction project.
  • The City of Ellis has been setting aside funds each year for the future reconstruction of Washington Street from the south side of the Big Creek Bridge to the intersection of 10th Street and Washington Street. This project would include reconstructing the street, replacing aging water and sewer infrastructure, relocating utilities from beneath the roadway to the sides of the street, and improving sidewalks throughout the project area.

Before moving forward, the City Council would like to hear from residents, property owners, and business owners regarding their preferences for the future design of Washington Street. Your feedback will help guide planning efforts and determine the most fiscally responsible path forward.

Please complete the survey by October 1, 2026. If you have any questions, please call the Clerk's office at 785-726-4812 or email clerk@cityofellisks.gov.

Thank you for taking the time to share your input.
