Association for Vascular Access Clinical Practice Guidelines for Adults, 2nd Edition
The Association for Vascular Access (AVA) invites qualified professionals and other individuals with relevant expertise or experience to apply to serve as Contributors to the development of the AVA Clinical Practice Guidelines for Adults 2nd Ed. (CPG 2.0).
About CPG 2.0:

The guidelines provide evidence-informed recommendations to support safe, effective, and patient-centered vascular access practice. CPG 2.0 will evaluate current evidence and translate that evidence into practical recommendations applicable across the continuum of adult vascular access care.
Contributor Role:

Contributors provide focused expertise or assistance for specific activities during the development of CPG 2.0. Contributors may be invited by a Domain Author or the CPG Editors to assist with activities such as evidence screening, evidence evaluation, consultation on specific Domain components, or review of draft content or recommendations.

Each invitation will describe the requested contribution, anticipated timeframe, and any required training. Contributors may accept the assignment, discuss modifications to the proposed timeframe or scope, or decline the assignment.

Submission of this application does not obligate the applicant to accept an assignment and does not guarantee selection as a Contributor. Selected applicants will be invited to join the CPG 2.0 Potential Contributor List. Applicants will be required to complete AVA's Conflict of Interest disclosure form and contributor agreement.

CPG 2.0 is organized into eight Domains:

6. Assessment & Maintenance
7. Complication Identification & Management
8. Professional Development
Contributor Expectations:

Contributors are expected to:
- Provide expertise or assistance within the scope of an accepted assignment.
- Complete required training applicable to the assigned activity.
- Meet agreed-upon timelines or communicate promptly if circumstances require modification.
- Participate collaboratively and professionally with Authors, Editors, and other project participants.
- Follow the established CPG 2.0 methodology and processes applicable to their assignment.
- Maintain confidentiality of unpublished evidence reviews, draft recommendations, deliberations, and other project materials.
- Disclose potential conflicts of interest and promptly report changes that may arise during participation.
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English. CPG 2.0 development activities, training, meetings, evidence review, and project materials will be conducted in English.
