To be an Ambassador: 

· You must be able to pass a background check.

· The Chamber Member you work for must be a member for at least a full year.

· You must work for a Chamber member in good standing. 

· Only one person per chamber member organization is eligible to become an ambassador. 

 

Ambassador Selection Process:
Ambassadors are selected through an application process. Applicants are evaluated on application info, professionalism, and Chamber involvement.

What Does Being a Chamber Ambassador Really Mean?

You can't be shy about connecting with people.

Ambassadors need to be comfortable interacting with others whether that's by phone, email, or, especially, in person. As an Ambassador, you are often one of the first faces a member sees at Chamber events. You'll welcome members, introduce people to one another, help guests feel comfortable, reach out to members as part of our retention efforts, and represent the Chamber throughout the community.

Being an Ambassador means being approachable, engaged, and willing to make the first connection. We want our Ambassadors to feel proud of the role they play and know that their time, energy, and relationships truly matter.

 Your involvement has value.

Being an ambassador isn't meant to feel like a second job. We understand that you have busy lives, careers, businesses, and families. At the same time, being an ambassador does require a commitment to being involved and participating. We are looking for people who are willing to be engaged and take pride in what they are able to bring to our members and our community.

What matters most is that you show up when you can, are dependable and engaged, and are committed to being an active part of the Ambassador team. Your time, energy, relationships, and willingness to help make a difference.

Being a Chamber Ambassador is a commitment that may occasionally require you to step away from your regular work responsibilities. Ambassadors are encouraged to participate in ribbon cuttings, Chamber events, member visits and other opportunities throughout the year, as well as attend the monthly Ambassador meeting.

You are not expected to participate in everything, but we do ask that you be engaged and participate when your schedule allows.

Because your involvement may take place during work hours, we want to make sure your employer understands and supports your commitment to serving as a Chamber Ambassador.
