Parade Participant Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the City of Hidden Hills 65th Anniversary Fiesta Parade. Please complete this application in full, sign the Release and Hold Harmless Agreement, and return it to City Hall by the deadline above. A City representative will contact you to confirm your entry, line-up number, and staging time.

on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hidden Hills is a proud equestrian community. To keep riders, animals, and spectators safe, all equestrian entries must meet the following requirements. Please initial each line to acknowledge:

All horses must be under the rider's or handler's control at all times and accustomed to crowds, noise, and other animals.

Each equestrian entry must provide its own manure cleanup (walking scooper crew or catch bag). Entries that do not clean up after their animals may be excluded from future events.

Riders are responsible for their own tack and equipment and for the conduct of their animal(s).

Equestrian units will stage and disband in a separate, vehicle-free corridor as directed by parade staff.

1. All entries must check in at the staging area at the assigned time. Late arrivals may be placed at the end of the line-up or excluded.
2. Entries must keep pace and maintain spacing as directed by parade pacers and coordinators; no stopping to perform in front of the reviewing stand beyond a brief pause.
3. No alcohol, and no political or commercial advertising inconsistent with the family, community character of the event.
4. Drivers of all motorized entries must be licensed and insured; vehicles must be in safe operating condition.
5. All participants must follow the directions of City staff, parade coordinators, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at all times.
6. The City reserves the right to refuse or remove any entry that is unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with the spirit of the event.

[Release language subject to City Attorney review and approval.] In consideration of being permitted to participate in the City of Hidden Hills 65th Anniversary Fiesta Parade (the "Event"), I, on behalf of myself, my organization, and all participants in my entry, acknowledge and agree as follows:

1. I understand that participation in the Event, including any activity involving animals, vehicles, or pedestrians, carries inherent risks of property damage, bodily injury, or death, and I voluntarily assume all such risks.
2. I release, waive, and discharge the City of Hidden Hills, its City Council, officials, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and volunteers (collectively, the "City") from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising out of or related to my entry's participation in the Event, except to the extent caused by the sole negligence or willful misconduct of the City.
3. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City from any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) brought by any participant in my entry or any third party arising out of my entry's participation in the Event.
4. I confirm that all participants in my entry will comply with the Parade Rules & Regulations and with all directions of City staff and public safety personnel.
5. I grant the City permission to photograph and record my entry and to use those images for City communications and promotional purposes without compensation.

I have read and agree to the above. I certify that I am authorized to sign on behalf of my entry and all of its participants, and that the information provided in this application is true and correct.

If any participant in the entry is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign below for that minor.
