If you would like to participate in a 30 minute guided nature hike choose a time option below to sign up. Please do not sign up if you do not plan to join as we will coordinate leaders for this based on registration. Minimum sign up applies.

If you would like to participate in a butterfly feeding experience please choose option here. The cost is $5/person cash paid at event. All proceeds benefit Chaplin Nature Center a 501c3 non-profit. (This is a separate activity from tagging.)

Will you be donating an nature themed art piece for our nature as art silent auction? This can include paintings, photography, wood or metal working, anything considered art with a theme that ties to nature. 100% proceeds go back into Chaplin Nature Center/Wichita Audubon Society to support nature education, public programs, and trail maintenance. Contact the director prior to event to coordinate details if you choose "yes".

By registering, I understand this event is free and open to all ages, and participation in outdoor activities is voluntary and at my own risk. Butterfly tagging is self-guided along the trails after equipment instruction is provided. I acknowledge the risks associated with outdoor activities, including uneven terrain, weather, insects, wildlife, and equipment use. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times. I agree to hold harmless Chaplin Nature Center, Wichita Audubon Society, and their staff and volunteers from claims arising from my participation or that of my children, to the extent permitted by law. Dogs and bicycles are prohibited, and all visitors must follow the rules posted at the parking lot kiosk. Optional lunch and butterfly experiences require cash payment as listed on this form. Day-of donations are appreciated and support Chaplin Nature Center. I understand that staff may take photographs during the event and that attendees, including children, may appear in photographs used for educational and promotional purposes.
