• Little House Art Gallery: Ephemeral Community Art Show

  • Call for Art: Ephemeral

Little House Arts Gallery invites artists of all ages and experience levels to explore ephemeral art-art that captures something temporary, fleeting, changing, or meant to disappear.

For this exhibition, we’re seeking 2D artwork inspired by themes of impermanence, transformation, memory, nature, time, movement, and letting go.

What does ephemeral mean to you?

    Think about:

    • A moment that passed too quickly
    • Using a material that is ephemeral
    • Growth, decay, or transformation
    • Memories that change over time
    • The fleeting nature of seasons, relationships, or experiences
    • Something temporary that you wish you could hold onto

All 2D mediums are welcome, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, collage, mixed media, digital art, and more. You can submit up to three works.

Deadline: Submissions are open until October 4th

    Artists Notified: October 9th

Artwork Drop off: October 22nd/23rd/24th (times TBD)

Last Friday Art Show Opening: October 30th, 6-8pm

    Closing Reception: November 20th, 6-8pm

Because of the size of the gallery, space is limited and I may not be able to include every submitted work. Each submission is deeply appreciated, and I value the care behind every piece!

  • This art show and opening reception are public events held in conjunction with the Hillsborough Arts Council's Last Friday celebration.

    _______________________________________________________

This show is open to all ages! However, because this exhibition will be held in a shared therapeutic space that welcomes children, families, and community members from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, I ask that artwork not include violent imagery, nudity, curse words, or hate speech. Thank you for helping create an environment that feels welcoming, accessible, and supportive for all who enter.

If you have questions about whether a piece is a good fit for the exhibition, please don't hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to help!

Since this is a therapy space, the gallery will be open to the public during the exhibition opening. Other gallery viewing times can be made by appointment.
