ALL FIRST YEAR STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A MANDATORY MEETING IN THE COLLEGE GYMNASIUM BEFORE SELECTING A CORE OR ELECTIVE. THE MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2026 AT 11:00 AM in the COLLEGE GYMNASIUM. DO NOT REGISTER BEFORE ATTENDING THIS MEETING.

1: STUDENTS PURSUING PROGRAMMES, FOR EG. BUSINESS STUDIES, PSYCHOLOGY, GENERAL NURSING,MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ETC ARE NOT REQUIRED TO REGISTER HERE. IF IN DOUBT PLEASE CONTACT YOUR DIVISIONAL OFFICE OR STUDENT AFFAIRS.

2. STUDENTS TAKING MAJORS MUST HAVE THEIR DIVISIONAL TIMETABLES IN HAND BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REGISTER FOR CORES AND ELECTIVES. DO NOT MAKE A SELECTION UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT DAYS AND TIMES ARE FREE ON YOUR TIMETABLE.
GOVERNMENT AND POLITICAL STUDIES STUDENTS
3. Students taking Government and Political Studies are REQUIRED to take GEED 207 - Research Methodology as their CORE in place of CORE 102. DO NOT REGISTER FOR CORE 102 CARIBBEAN POLITICS AND SOCIETY.

Electives GEED 102, 130, 131, 132, 140, 160 and 230 appear in more than one discipline. If the elective is unavailable in one discipline, you may check for availability in another discipline.
PLEASE NOTE:
The elective chosen MUST NOT be in the same subject area as your major. For e.g. a student pursuing Accounts as a major cannot take Basic Accounting as an elective. Computer Applications cannot be taken by Information Technology students; students doing Sociology as a major must not register for Introduction to Sociology, etc.
