Deadline to submit: Close of day January 4, 2027
The Alaska Tribal Conference on Environmental Management (ATCEM) invites you to submit an abstract to present or provide a training/workshop at the 2027 event! Important note: ATCEM 2027 will be in person only.
Purpose
ATCEM seeks to provide a professional, respectful, engaging, and educational forum for sharing knowledge, experiences, challenges, and best practices related to Tribal environmental management and community health in Alaska.
Abstracts should:
- Align with conference goals and topics.
- Provide educational value to attendees.
- Be presented in a factual, professional, and constructive manner.
- Respect individuals, organizations, agencies, and communities.
There is no limit to the number of abstracts an individual or organization may submit.
Revision requests
The track committees may request revisions to improve clarity, professionalism, or alignment with conference objectives. They may also request an alternative duration to better fit within their available session block time.
Review process
All abstracts will be reviewed by the track planning committees and assessed based on relevance, quality, educational value, alignment with conference objectives and topics, and available session capacity and program scheduling considerations to ensure a balanced and effective conference agenda. Notification of acceptance, requested revisions, or non-selection will be provided via email no later than January 15, 2027. Presenters whose abstracts are accepted will also receive information regarding next steps, presentation requirements, and conference logistics.
Grounds for rejection
Abstracts may be rejected if:
- They fall outside the scope of conference topics and values.
- They primarily focus on personal grievances/disputes or on selling a product/service.
- They contain defamatory, discriminatory, inflammatory, or otherwise unprofessional content.
- There isn't enough capacity to include it in the conference agenda.
