• GSA Research Funding Applcation

    GSA Research Funding supports current CCSU graduate students conducting research, scholarly, or creative activities related to their graduate education. Funding is competitive and subject to available resources. Applicants should review the GSA Research Funding guidelines and have project information, an anticipated budget, and required supporting documentation available before beginning this application. Fall 2026

  • Important: Projects requiring IRB, IACUC, or other institutional research approval must have received the required approval or determination before the GSA Research Funding application is submitted. Pending approvals will not be accepted. Please review the Research Compliance section below before applying.

Students who have already received Conference Funding during the current academic year are not eligible to receive Research Funding.

  • Research Compliance

    Important for Research Requiring Institutional ApprovalIf your project requires Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), or other university research approval, the required approval or determination must be received and uploaded as part of your GSA Research Funding application at the time of submission. Proof that an application for institutional approval has been submitted or is under review is not sufficient. Required approval documentation submitted separately or after the GSA Research Funding application has been submitted will not be accepted or added to the application. Applicants who have not yet received the required institutional approval or determination are encouraged to complete the approval process and apply during the next GSA Research Funding cycle.

  • IRB Approval Required

    Projects requiring IRB review must have received final IRB approval or an exemption/determination before this GSA Research Funding application is submitted. Pending IRB applications, submission confirmations, or documentation showing that IRB review is in progress do not satisfy this requirement.

    The official IRB approval or determination must be uploaded in PDF format as part of this application. Documentation submitted separately or after the GSA application has been submitted will not be accepted.

    If your IRB review is still pending, do not submit a GSA Research Funding application for this project during the current cycle. You may apply during the next GSA Research Funding cycle after the required IRB approval or determination has been received.

    The official IACUC approval must be uploaded in PDF format as part of this application. Pending applications, submission confirmations, or documentation showing that review is in progress do not satisfy this requirement and will not be accepted separately after submission.

    If required IACUC approval is still pending, do not submit a GSA Research Funding application for this project during the current cycle. You may apply during the next funding cycle after approval has been received.
