You, Nature and St Ives &/or Harden Moor
Hi, thanks for following the link. I'm Emma Adams and I'm an artist in residence here at St Ives and Harden Moor until October 2026. I'm going to be writing a play for this area and making an illustrated zine. The first part of my residency is about finding out what people love about this place, and particularly their memories / feelings about the nature they have encountered here. I'm meeting people in person but also using this form to reach out. And here you are! Thank you! You can't do this wrong. Just jot down a sentence or two about an encounter you've had with nature here, or a memory that you made. I'll read every story that I receive. I'll be inspired by your words. I may quote a word or sentence here or there, but I won't identify people (beyond perhaps a first name). Say if you'd prefer to be entirely anonymous. That's fine. About Emma Adams And Her National Nature Reserve Residency
Emma is a queer, neurodiverse script writer from Bradford. She’s written plays to be performed in houses, libraries, swimming pools, graveyards and on stages too. Emma has worked with companies including: Leeds Playhouse, Slung Low, Theatre 503, Paines Plough, Longboat Pictures & CBBC. Emma is one half of Old Bird (a Bradford based theatre company) with Deborah Pakkar-Hull, their show ‘Otherhood’ premiered in the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture programme.
