Art Play Studio is a therapeutic group service designed to support children through trauma-informed, child-led creative activities while addressing emotional, behavioral, social, and coping needs. By enrolling your child, you understand that participation requires consent for behavioral health/therapy services and agreement to participate in the clinical process, including recommendations made by the treatment team when appropriate. Before beginning the program, families are expected to complete an initial intake session with a clinician so we can learn more about your child, family, current concerns, strengths, behaviors, needs, and goals for services.
Participation in Art Play Studio is part of an individualized treatment approach and is not considered a traditional recreational art class. Families are expected to communicate openly with the treatment team, provide accurate information during the intake and ongoing services, participate in treatment planning as needed, and follow reasonable clinical recommendations that support the child’s progress and safety. Recommendations may include individual therapy, case management, peer support, family involvement, referrals, or other behavioral health services when clinically appropriate.
Enrollment does not guarantee that Art Play Studio will be the only service recommended for your child. If the clinical team identifies additional needs, those recommendations will be discussed with the parent or legal guardian. Continued participation may depend on completion of required assessments, treatment planning, documentation, attendance, caregiver communication, and cooperation with the child’s overall plan of care.
Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment where children can build emotional regulation, communication, confidence, social skills, and healthy coping strategies through creative expression and play.
