The crown you are given is a travelling crown. Which means that this crown and custom crown box will go from title winner to title winner, year after year, and are not yours to keep.
All Teen & Miss crowns and custom crown cases are NEW as of the 2026 to the Grand Forks Local!
The crowns are a representation of your title and in such need to be treated as the jewel they are. Proper care is required, and suggested care is:
Please keep your crown in a dedicated, safe space. We suggest utilizing the provided crown box that comes along with your crown. We encourage you to add or use some type of protective material around your crown in the box. This is most appreciated.
The crowns are inspected before the competition to check their appearance. If repairs are needed, they will be taken care of as soon as possible, to ensure you receive a crown in good condition. If you notice something with the crown soon after receiving it, please inform us as soon as possible by sending an any/all detail in an email to missgrandforksorg@gmail.com.
If you are unable to compete at the state competition, you immediately forfeit your title and must return your crown as soon as possible. It must be mailed or delivered with care no less than 30 days after giving up your title. If it is not received after 30 days, you will be invoiced to replace the crown and the crown case.
If you misplace or damage the crown beyond repair or in a major fashion, you will be required to pay $200 towards the purchase of a new one. No exceptions! The same goes for the custom crown case in which the replacement price is $175.00. Please take care of the crown and the case and wear your crown with pride.
You are responsible to pass on your crown to the next title winner. If you are unable to attend the next Grand Forks Local competition in-person, then you are required to make arrangements to ensure your crown is received a week prior to that competition date. Please work with the local director for those arrangements.
The crown you receive must be the crown returned! Please keep in mind that the Grand Forks Local has made significant efforts to accomplish the purchase of new crowns and custom crown cases. Please be respectful of that hard work and do NOT switch crowns with another title unless you have been granted permission by the director of the Grand Forks Local. If crowns are switched without permission, you will be invoiced for the purchase of a new crown.
By signing this, you understand that you are responsible for the care and appearance of the awarded crown/crown box while in your possession and agree to the terms listed above.
