Grass-Fed Beef Program Waitlist Disclosure & Acknowledgment
By joining this waitlist, I understand that I am expressing interest in The Phoenix Farm & Retreat’s future beef program only. This waitlist is not a purchase order, reservation, deposit, contract, or guarantee of availability. No payment is required to join the waitlist, and submitting this form does not obligate me to purchase beef or obligate The Phoenix Farm & Retreat to provide or sell beef to me.
The purpose of this waitlist is to help The Phoenix Farm & Retreat evaluate customer demand and determine cattle needs, sourcing, acreage, processing arrangements, delivery needs, and other logistics as we develop the program.
Estimated Pricing
Current estimated pricing for individual purchasers is:
- Half beef: approximately $3,000
- Whole beef: approximately $6,000
- Active-duty U.S. military members and veterans: 10% discount, subject to eligibility verification
- Commercial or volume purchasers: Restaurants, businesses, and customers interested in purchasing multiple animals may contact us regarding potential commercial pricing.
- These prices are estimates for our standard program and are subject to change. Final pricing will be established before a customer enters into a purchase agreement and pays a deposit.
Processing/butchering fees are not included in the estimated purchase price and will be additional. Customers will be able to select or coordinate with a processor, subject to processor availability and applicable requirements.
Customers may arrange for pickup or, where available and legally permitted, nationwide shipping. Shipping, packaging, handling, processing, and related costs are additional unless specifically stated otherwise in the final purchase agreement.
Grass-Fed & Grass-Finished
Our long-term goal is to develop a herd in which cattle transition from milk at weaning to a grass/forage-based diet and are ultimately grass-finished.
Because we are currently developing our herd and may source cattle for our initial offering, we cannot presently guarantee that cattle in the first group will have been exclusively grass-fed throughout their entire post-weaning lives. Our goal is to source cattle as close to weaning as reasonably possible so they can transition directly into our grass/forage-based program.
We do intend for cattle offered through the program to be grass-finished. Specific feeding practices and any representations regarding an individual animal being grass-fed, grass-finished, or both will be disclosed before the customer enters into a purchase agreement or pays a deposit.
Special Breed & Custom Requests
The Phoenix Farm & Retreat may be able to accommodate requests for a specific cattle breed or other individual or commercial production preferences. Customers are encouraged to indicate any breed or other preferences when joining the waitlist so that we can evaluate demand and potential sourcing options.
Special requests will be considered individually and are subject to cattle availability, sourcing costs, production requirements, timelines, and our ability to reasonably accommodate the request.
The estimated standard pricing listed on this waitlist may not apply to special breed or custom requests. A requested breed or other customization may result in different pricing, deposit requirements, production timelines, minimum quantities, or other terms.
Submitting a breed or custom request does not guarantee that The Phoenix Farm & Retreat will be able to fulfill the request. If we are able to accommodate a special request, the applicable breed or animal specifications, pricing, production expectations, and other terms will be established in the separate purchase agreement before a deposit is collected.
Deposits & Estimated Timeline
No deposit is required to join this waitlist.
If cattle become available and a waitlist participant chooses to move forward with a purchase, our current plan is to require a 50% deposit to secure the animal or portion of beef. The remaining balance, payment schedule, and other financial terms will be established in the final purchase agreement.
Our current estimated production timeline is approximately 14–16 months from deposit to finished beef. This is an estimate only. Livestock growth and finishing times can vary based on the individual animal, breed, starting age and weight, weather, forage conditions, processing availability, and other agricultural factors.
As a result, an estimated completion or processing date should not be considered a guaranteed delivery date.
Processing, Pickup & Shipping
Processing arrangements and fees will be separate from the estimated cattle purchase price unless otherwise specified in the final purchase agreement.
Customers may choose an available processor that meets applicable requirements. Processing instructions, cuts, packaging, and related services will generally be coordinated with the processor and may involve additional charges.
Customers may choose to pick up their finished beef or, where available and legally permitted, arrange for shipping. All shipping, insulated packaging, dry ice or other temperature-control materials, handling, and related transportation costs are additional unless otherwise stated in writing.
Commercial & Volume Purchases
Restaurants, retailers, food-service businesses, and other commercial or volume purchasers are welcome to join the waitlist.
Depending on quantity, frequency, breed requirements, processing specifications, and other factors, commercial or volume pricing may be available. Commercial purchases will be evaluated individually and may be subject to separate pricing and contractual terms.
Final Purchase Agreement
If The Phoenix Farm & Retreat offers a waitlist participant the opportunity to purchase, all final terms will be contained in a separate written purchase agreement.
That agreement may include final pricing, animal or breed specifications, deposit and payment requirements, feeding representations, estimated production timeline, processing arrangements, pickup or shipping terms, cancellation provisions, and other applicable conditions.
Information contained in this waitlist reflects our current plans and estimates and may change as the program is developed.

I further understand that I am not required to make a purchase by joining the waitlist and that The Phoenix Farm & Retreat is not obligated to sell or provide an animal or beef to me based solely on my submission of this form.
Any future purchase will occur only after both parties agree to and enter into a separate purchase agreement.
