  • CODE OF CONDUCT

    FOR SMALL GROUP LEADERS & FORMATION VOLUNTEERS

  • Conduct Commitments

  • 1. I will uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church and SPO's mission and charism values through my words and actions.

  • 2. I will maintain the confidential nature of the information shared in my small group. However, if I become aware of imminent serious harm or danger to an individual or a group of people, including self-inflicted harm, I will immediately contact emergency services and my Chapter Leader.
  • 3. While in SPO environments I will follow the law regarding the use of alcohol and drugs. Although some states have legalized marijuana, I will not use it in SPO environments.

  • 4. I will follow SPO's conduct policies (review at www.spo.org/conduct), and I will report conduct concerns to my Chapter Leader.

  • These policies include:
    a. General code of conduct
    b. Sexual misconduct policy
    c. Sleeping arrangements policy
    d. Boundaries policy
    e. Mental Health & Welfare Policy
