Welcome to Fall Call Conference!

• CKI Members: Open to all college students associated with CKI across North and South Carolina, as well as members from CKI Districts outside of the Carolinas.
• Kiwanis Family & Advisors: Kiwanians, Faculty/Staff Advisors, and other Kiwanis Family members are warmly welcomed.
• Note for Out-of-District Guests: If you plan to attend from a CKI District outside of the Carolinas, please contact District Administrator Jennifer Hethcox via email prior to registering to ensure space is available.

• Friday: We kick off with a casual pizza dinner and community-building activities where teams form and begin earning points toward GOLD. We close the night with our Official Opening Session to light the Olympic Torch.
  Saturday: Enjoy breakfast, interactive educational sessions, and team activities. Following lunch, participate in additional team sessions, free time, and a hands-on service project. After dinner, we will host a special ceremony recognizing new members, followed by a evening community activity.
• Sunday: We wrap up the weekend with the final unveiling of Bronze, Silver, and Gold medalists, followed by an inspirational closing session.
• Departure Clean-Up: All guests will participate in a brief "Leave No Trace" effort by taking out trash, sweeping floors, and packing up their areas.

Important: Please ensure school checks are requested early and mailed by October 5th. If a school check is delayed, individual student payments must be made up front and will be reimbursed once the school payment is received.

Cancellations, Refunds, & Substitutions

• Cancellation Deadline: Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to District Administrator Jennifer Hethcox on or before October 5th to receive a full refund minus a $25 administration fee.
• Late Cancellations: Requests postmarked or received after October 5th cannot be refunded.
• Conference Bundle Purchases: Please review the separate cancellation and refund policy specific to the Carolinas Conference Bundle.
   
• Substitutions: If you cannot attend but have a substitute taking your spot, simply contact DA Jennifer to update the attendee registration information.

Sleeping Arrangements

All CKI students will be housed in a large cabin. All students should bring sleeping bags/linens for their beds, towels and toiletries.

 

 

WiFi

The purpose of this retreat is to spend time with other CKI and Kiwanis Family Members. Please plan accordingly as there is very poor cell signal at the retreat site and NO WiFi. Download all material you might need for studying prior to attending the conference. If you need to call home, you may see one of the District Administrators for phone access if your cell phone doesn't have service.

What is Zeffy?

Zeffy (formerly known as Simplyk) is a zero-fee online fundraising platform built specifically for non-profits, charities, and community organizations (like CKI).

Here is what makes it unique:

• 100% Free for Non-Profits: Unlike standard platforms (like Eventbrite, PayPal, or Stripe) that charge transaction fees (typically ~2.9% + $0.30 per payment), Zeffy passes 100% of donations and registration fees directly to the organization.
• Optional Donor Tipping Model: Zeffy covers its operating costs and payment processing fees by giving buyers/donors the option to leave a voluntary tip at checkout. Donors can choose to tip, customize the tip amount, or opt out completely ($0 tip).
• All-in-One Tools: Non-profits use Zeffy for event ticketing/registration, online donation forms, peer-to-peer campaigns, membership drives, and selling raffle tickets or merchandise.
