Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) Accelerator Programme

BASA Accelerator is a four-month investment and procurement readiness accelerator for established businesses that have already moved beyond the start-up and incubation stage.
The programme is aimed at businesses that have:
- A functioning product or service
- Paying customers, considering the number of customers, how many are new customers, and how many are return customers
- Demonstrated market traction i.e where do they sell their product/ offer their services
- Post-revenue operations
- An established management team
- A credible opportunity to scale
- Up-to-date financials
- Compliant i.e. registered with CIPC, tax compliant, business bank account
The programme is therefore not an incubator and will not focus on idea development, MVP creation, basic entrepreneurship training, or initial market validation.
Its purpose is to address the gap between a business that has proven commercial potential and a business that is ready to secure either:
- Significant growth investment;
- Large corporate procurement opportunities; or
- Other forms of finance, market access, or strategic partnership required to scale.
