Welcome to a one-time, unique Simply Classical Connections!

For the fall of 2026, instead of our quarterly interviews with special needs families, we will read a heart-warming novel from our Simply Classical Level 7/8 Literature selections; E. B. White's The Trumpet of the Swan.

Whether you use our Simply Classical curriculum or not, this special anthropormorphic tale, beautifully woven as only E.B. White can do, is a treasure for all.

This is a story about finding a way; a mute trumpeter swan, alongside the dedication of family and new friends, finds a way to grow beyond his limitations. While this is a children's novel, read along with me to enjoy the magical world of animals and the virtuous themes that we know E. B. White creates.

For this one-time event, students 10 and above are welcome to join with a parent - see below.

 

By completing this form you will choose from:

1. Register for the parnent-only discussion of The Trumpet of the Swan.  After all, aren't we all young at heart?

OR

2. Register for the parent/student book club.  To participate, parent AND student must attend a specified session.  This will be held at 3:00 PM ET as seen below.  Students can ONLY attend this session, and they must attend WITH a parent beside them. Individual devices will not likely work as that will produce too many screen participants. Students cannot attend the parent-only session.  Students qualify at age 10 and above. You will list the age(s) of your students in the registration so that I may schedule by developmental stages if necessary.  

Personal Notes:  

• We must achieve a minimum number of participants to hold a fruitful discussion.  Any one session that does not reach this minimum number will be folded into another date and time.
• This book club will be open to all MP users and students.  To help me plan parent/student discussions OR add more dates, please answer all required questions below.  Thank you.
