Please review the information below before selecting the committee(s) or task force(s) for which you would like to be considered.

This committee typically has 1-2 in-person meetings a year and occasional virtual meetings.
CDCES Examination Committee
Supports the ongoing development and maintenance of the CDCES certification examination. Members may participate in activities such as developing, reviewing, and evaluating examination content to help ensure the exam remains valid and relevant to current practice. BC-ADM Examination Committee
Supports the ongoing development and maintenance of the BC-ADM certification examination. Members may participate in activities such as developing, reviewing, and evaluating examination content to help ensure the exam remains valid and relevant to current practice. This committee typically has two in-person meetings a year and occasional virtual meetings as needed.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging (DEIAB) Committee
Supports CBDCE's efforts to foster diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging within the organization and its volunteer community. The committee helps identify and advance initiatives and resources that support an inclusive organizational culture including the CDCES and BC-ADM Scholarship Programs. This committee is conducted virtually, with virtual meetings currently held every other month.
Recognition Review Committee
Supports the review and development of all CBDCE recognition initiatives designed to acknowledge individuals and efforts that contribute to and support certification and/or the diabetes care community including but not limited to CBDCE-Recognized Preparation Pathways for initial certification and the Ambassador program. This committee is expected to have one in-person meeting in 2027 and at least quarterly virtual meetings.
New Certification Support
As CBDCE explores a new potential certification program for support-level staff - such as medical assistants, assistant nurses, dietetic technicians, pharmacy technicians and community health workers - volunteer support may be needed in developing a job task analysis (exam content outline) and/or exam questions. This could include in-person and/or virtual meetings.
