Appointments and Scheduling:
- Due to high demand for appointments, we have implemented a deposit fee of $250 for initial evaluations or $300 for urgent initial evaluations. This fee is transferable and refundable for rescheduling or cancellation of appointments within a 48-hour business hour notice. We can only accept Care Credit payments for the initial deposit fee if this is paid in-person at our clinic with proof of identity (driver's license, passport, etc.). We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards with the exception of American Express.
- Due to high demand for appointments, we have a cancellation fee of $100. Appointment cancellations must be made with greater than 48 business hours notice, or the cancellation fee will be implemented. We will send a text message one week before your appointment and will call you 48 hours prior to offer the opportunity to cancel your appointment with no fees. Keep in mind - we are open Monday through Thursday. For cancellation of an appointment on a Monday, we will need notice the Wednesday prior.
- Due to high demand for appointments, we can only offer a 10-minute grace period to arrive for scheduled appointments. If a client arrives outside of the grace period, it will be considered a same-day cancellation. A $100 cancellation fee will be charged in order to reschedule the appointment. If a client arrives outside of the grace period a second time, we will ask that the $100 cancellation fee be paid and the exam fee be pre-paid when scheduling future appointments. If a client arrives outside of the grace period a third time, we will unfortunately no longer be able to provide care for their pet.
- Scheduling for procedures like an intradermal allergy test, video otoscopy, CO2 laser, etc. will require a deposit of $500. This deposit is refundable up to 2 weeks prior to the scheduled procedure. This deposit will be applied to your final invoice at the time of payment for the procedure.
- Due to high demand for appointments, we may be unable to see same-day appointments. If it is an urgent case, and our schedule allows, we may be able to work-in a same-day appointment. The same-day urgent exam fee is $300.
Examinations/Medications:
- Dermatology Clinic for Animals primarily focuses on treating diseases of the skin and ears. Other health issues may be addressed upon request, time permitting.
-Initial examinations will take a minimum of 1-2 hours and rechecks will take a minimum of 30-60 minutes. Please note that it will take a minimum of this time to complete each examination, to generate a treatment plan, and to fill all appropriate medications.
-If your pet has been aggressive towards humans or animals, we ask that you please let us know prior to your appointment. Your pet will be muzzled, and we will treat them with care and the utmost respect. If this is not an option, then we will not be able to examine your pet and provide adequate treatment. If your primary veterinarian has prescribed your pet sedative medications for veterinary appointments, please administer those medications as directed.
-All fees are due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and CareCredit. We do not offer payment plans.
- Estimates will be provided for examinations, medications and diagnostics if requested.
- Medication refills may take 2-3 business days. Keep in mind while planning for medication refills that we are open Monday through Thursday only. Our doctor must have the benefit of reviewing your pet's medical record before refilling medication. It is best to calculate in advance when you may need a refill on medications. Please allow us 7 calendar days to refill and formulate immunotherapy/allergen (dependent on product availability).
