Clinic with Western dressage and dressage trainer and instructor Lorna (Lory) Nagel USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist.
Bio: I’ve learned by the seat of my pants all my life. Many horses have shown me their strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to take what one horse does well, and try to reproduce that on a horse weak in that area.
I have had several great mentors to influence my riding, including the late Charles de Kunffy, Miguel Tavora, Janet Foy, Debby Savage and many others. They have shown me the way to be fair and kind to the horse while developing him up through the levels of dressage.
Through years of hard work, I earned my bronze, silver and gold medals in classical dressage on horses that I trained and now I am applying this experience to western dressage, helping other riders achieve a similar harmony with their horses. It’s about riding well so that the horse can go well. It’s about understanding the aids, when and how to apply them, then allowing the horse to dance with us! It’s such a fun and rewarding journey we take with our wonderful horses!💜💜
